Christopher Nolan has always paid homage to & honored the great directors who came before him & it’s one of the reasons I love Nolan so much: he’s a student of Cinema. It doesn’t surprise me in the slightest that Nolan pulled from directors like Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and Stanley Kubrick while making The Odyssey. He most definitely pulled from all three while making Oppenheimer as well.
