We have to budget our income when we want to buy things. The government should do the same. Use the money from the programs that made the problem worse.

Remember how marijuana taxes were supposed to go towards education? Why would you think the money would actually go towards mental health services? I’m voting NO because they have history of not using money towards what it was supposed to.

Property values have increased DRAMATICALLY over the past few years. As a result, state revenue from property taxes has also enjoyed a corresponding increase. What are they doing with all that extra money? Use that money if they want. Hard pass on further increases.

I would love to share with you some info about "mental health." I think it would be useful for your reporting. I have a lot of firsthand experience and several WA mental hospitals, youth shelters, DCYF, LCYF. I think you might be surprised too.

I disagree with you on this one, Brandi. I voted no, even though I'm a doctor and know that MH services are desperately needed. I don't trust KC to use that extra tax $ wisely, given their track record. They can budget like the rest of us do.

You continuously tell us the State isn't being held accountable for the money they do have, argued the taxpayers should have seen some relief with the $15 billion surplus of taxpayer monies last year, but now argue for increased property taxes which will also directly renters?

Did prop 1 come with a breakdown on where every dollar will go so that the citizens that begrudgingly voted for it can hold them accountable and keep them on track? No? Why would you give them more? It’ll never be enough

This is in Winnipeg Manitoba. The "where" really doesn't matter. The residents of this complex requested services from their municipality to come unclog the drain. The response was that it would take days to come deal with the issue. These 2 men took it upon themselves to fix the problem. Tell me again why home owners pay property taxes exactly? Do you think it's time to completely eliminate property taxes?
