Imagine planting trees on your knees in 40 to 50 degree heat, with the desert blowing back at you. China has put robots on that job. In one continuous pass they dig, plant, cover and water, about 2,000 trees an hour, roughly one every five seconds. Nobody drives them. They navigate on China's Beidou satellite system, read the dunes ahead and work around the clock in conditions no person should have to face. Rice along with other basic food staples has become increasingly unaffordable for ordinary Iranians due to crushing inflation and the collapse of purchasing power. When people who struggle to put bread on the table refuse to take rice home, it is a political act. It is a rejection of humiliation, corruption, and a system that starves the people while enriching those in power.
