While many sit in air-conditioned offices and complain, railway workers spend hours under the blazing sun keeping the country moving. The next time your train arrives safely and on time, remember the people sweating on the tracks to make it happen. Respect their hard work. 🚆☀️ #RailwayWorkers #UnsungHeroes

The only thing it shows is how underdeveloped we are.

Salute to their hard work. But this is not something to be proud of. Every profession has its own challenges, and comparing them serves no purpose. People working in AC offices have also worked hard to reach where they are and are not responsible for the hardships faced by field workers. The real question is why these workers still have to endure such conditions. The government and concerned authorities should be held accountable and take meaningful steps to improve their lives.

Lack of advanced equipment is not something to be proud of. Indian Railways has come a long way, but there’s still room for a lot more.

Bad mental applicaton. This a JOKE. Such women, elderly should not be allowed to run like this on concrete, rock areas in hapazhard manner. This is crappy engineering, planning. Should use other methods and let these ladies be employed elsewhere. Stop this 3rd class joke

This is just stupidity. doing it with human effort instead of an engineered machine.. the fact that as a country and as a railway system we've not mechanised it is just pathetic and shameful..

@Chinmayi Whoever is posting this understand, this could be changed if the Railway Authority/ Ministery value people as humans not only votes..! there are advanced equipment to do such jobs..! sad to say that, at present 5 Sense animal life is valuable to 6 sense human life

Haan toh fokat me thodi na kar rahe hai. All heavily unionised labour who are parasites on the taxpayer

And the least railway can do is compensate them well and in time than just a meagre wage

Utterly Sad visuals, no wonder USA has slapped Forced labour practice tarrifs on us, well deserved 🙄😡 @PiyushGoyalOffc

Most of the railway companies use track laying machines to lift ,carry & deploy. .these contractors instead of machines use manual work to show additional cost occurred in bill due construction work by using additional labour .all manipulation. dont go by looks it deceives eyes

These operations can be automated through modern machinery, and these employees can be moved to other duties, not sure why Railway is not doing it.

The ppl travel in the train they also work hard and earned to pay railway employees. U may not be knowing the person traveling in the train has done tough duty with due diligence more than these person. It's better don't make idiotic statement just to get sympathy.

@savitha_rao First time watching equality among men and women. Yes they are not the fortunate ones but one day we need to make them fortunate

Really? How the hell the trains run on other countries especially western countries? Please don't tell about this nonsense. All these can be mechanised.

So and so largest economy and can’t afford track laying machine in big 2026. But hey grocery delivery happens in 10 minutes wow we so cool

That's nothing to be proud of. Govt should not exploit them after all they are humans too. These things are done by track laying machines. Sooner or later govt has to use it as it will be demand of time. Just look at Japan and china. Im not saying everything is perfect there.

So ministry doesnot even care about the health of labourers.....they can't even provide head umbrellas to prevent heat stroke from blazing sun. What were those railway ministry officers think sitting in air conditioned officers.......next time when travelling in train , think.

@Indian10000000 Wtf is India going to the moon for if this is still manual??? Clearly Indian tech and engineering prowess is just a PR job and not something that occurs naturally

Ofcourse many of sit in air conditioned office doing nothing, everyone knows who is more happy and content at the end of the day

India has a unique talent of fusing the poor's survival with their exploitation then calling it heroism. It is beneath human dignity and human divinity to be working in those conditions. The open secret of our world is that it still runs on slavery, albeit, a rationalizable one.

India is so BACKWARD. Don't publicise it.

Why they don’t have proper working dress, safety gears ? Who is not paying attention for safety?

They get paid for that. No need to "Salute" them.

These poor and marginslised tribal women are struggling in 40° summer to survive at the mercy of @RailMinIndia sub contractors who sit atop like kings and are crooks in exploitation of these people.

These ppl are lucky to have those jobs... In a more serious country, this would be automated

It's good that women are in working but they should be provided proper working equipment like shoes and gloves. In this video, it seems like no training is provided and all are working without any experience.

@Apkal AND we are spending budget on BULLET TRAINS instead of doing CAPEX on these

It's their job and they are doing it. Like any other worker from any other department. You may highlight issues if they are being paid well or appropriately or not. Or if they are not getting the right facilities.

Nonsense. Track laying and sleeper installation are largely automated across most of Southern Railway projects. If anything, showing more workers only creates opportunities for contractors to inflate costs on every sleeper laid. Nothing new in northern part of the shithole.

Salute to them & mad respect to everyone who are working in this scorching heat 🙏

They are all contractual labours. One of the harshest wagers. 🫡🇮🇳

Agreed 100%

It's a lowly paid contract labourers who do the difficult tasks. Railway employees on pay roll even at lower ranks are better placed.

Where’s the technology &machinery for such work? Still exploiting poor and oppressed communities to suffer without safe work methods ,personal protective equipment and measures??
