Israel swaps food aid entering Gaza with bags of sand Food entering the besieged Gaza Strip was found to contain sand rather than the much needed aid starving Palestinians need. The Palestinian enclave faces famine caused by Israel's blockade and genocidal war on the territory. According to UNRWA, aid trucks are waiting on average 74 days to receive approval from Israel before being allowed into Gaza to deliver much needed food and supplies. No aid was allowed into northern Gaza during November, the UN agency added.

Now, after midnight, thousands of people in Deir al-Balah, Gaza, are still waiting outside Al-Banna Bakery—hoping for a loaf of bread to feed their children. I can’t fathom how some people still believe what’s happening in Gaza isn’t starvation—when 2.3 million people are being pushed to the brink, fighting for a loaf of bread after midnight. Even Israeli government officials have admitted it—terrorists like Ben Gvir and Smotrich openly brag about it and advocate starving the entire population of Gaza. And yet some still pretend this isn’t a campaign of starvation against 2.3 million people. In the last five days—since the Israeli government announced it would “resume humanitarian aid” to Gaza—only around 300 trucks have entered. On a regular day, Gaza needs over 800. Now imagine the level of desperation after more than 70 days of blocked aid. Only 80 aid trucks are entering daily—this isn’t relief, it’s controlled suffocation.
