While passing through a quiet neighbourhood, Carolina Hurricanes winger William Carrier & his entourage stop by a lemonade stand run by two girls. Great lemonade, BTW! (Montréal, QC) #StanleyCup NHL Hockey Hall of Fame

This video always gets me 🥹. Two of my most favorite royals. The bond between Prince William and Queen Elizabeth II was uniquely special—both deeply personal and profoundly influential. As both his grandmother and sovereign, the Queen played a dual role in his life: one of loving matriarch and another as a guiding mentor. From early childhood, their relationship was warm and close. Following the tragic death of Princess Diana in 1997, the Queen became a stabilizing presence, offering emotional support and stepping into a more nurturing role alongside Prince Charles. Unlike her more reserved parenting style, she was notably more affectionate and relaxed with her grandchildren—especially William. During the turmoil of his parents’ troubled marriage and the aftermath of Diana’s passing, the Queen acted as a steady, grounding force. She helped shield William from the emotional and public fallout, creating a sense of security through routine, quiet time at Balmoral or Windsor, and upholding family unity. These peaceful retreats allowed William to escape the media glare and spend time with extended family, reinforcing tradition and continuity. At the same time, the Queen subtly began preparing William for his future role as king. She didn’t give formal lessons but instead led by quiet example—inviting him to accompany her at key royal events and gradually involving him in more responsibilities. As William matured, she held regular, private conversations with him, mentoring him not only on royal duties but also on how to carry himself with grace and dignity in the public eye. In every stage of his life, Queen Elizabeth II remained a pillar of strength and guidance, profoundly shaping the man and future monarch Prince William has become. May he continue to be the person she guided him to become, and make her proud when he one day takes the throne. #HappyBirthdayPrinceWilliam

Moureen Kinyua, a blogger from Nyeri and by the time of death in May 2019 was a Secretary to an MCA from Nyeri County. Police reports indicate that Moureen, was killed by a drunk driver in a hit and run incident in Nyeri 6yrs ago. At this time William Ruto was the Deputy President of Kenya and Rigathi Gachagua was the MP of Mathira. Ruto, in a video circulating, he is seen making a call to one Nancy, claimed to be Moureen's mother to condole with her following her daughter's death through an accident. 6 years later, William Ruto now President emerges in a rally and claims that he knows who killed Moureen. He accuses Rigathi Gachagua. My concerns; 1. For 6 years William Ruto has been knowing who killed Moureen and he has been quiet. 2. William Ruto, a whole president, knows who killed a Kenyan and he can't initiate a legal process against that person? 3. William Ruto knew that Gachagua had killed Moureen and he still chose him to be his Deputy President, 3yrs later in 2022? 4. Have the investigative agencies taken up the matter, interrogated the accuser and went on to arrest the alleged perpetrator based on the evidence from the witness (Ruto) on the capital offence of murder? 5. Will Ruto stand in court and testify on the allegations that he has given accusing someone of murder 6 years later! This video summarises all the questions in Kenyans minds. Thoughtfully, William Ruto would be throwing his last kicks as he lands in his political grave. The president might not be MENTALLY upright!
