Mr. Peter Obi arrived in Abuja yesterday for a series of meetings. As early as 5 a.m. today, we embarked on a road trip from Abuja to Kafanchan, Kaduna State. This visit was a direct outcome of a discussion with a Bishop who has been burdened with the task of establishing a school for mostly orphaned children, children whose parents were tragically killed due to recurring crises in the region. For the past five years, the Bishop has struggled to secure funding for the project, as there has been little to no support, even from the government, to assist these vulnerable children. Moved by their plight, Mr. Peter Obi decided to visit the school in person, assess its progress, and extend his support. During the visit, Mr. Peter Obi donated ₦20 million towards the construction of classrooms and an administrative building for the school. He reiterated his firm belief that investing in education, particularly for vulnerable children, is an investment in the future. Today, Peter Obi was with the leaders of the Chibok Community and representatives of the Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State, that was tragically attacked by Boko Haram in 2014. This school had only a single computer serving the entire school. The Chibok school asked for 2 computers and Peter Obi responded with: 10 computers, 3 high capacity Printers, Solar Power for the school, Science laboratories to the School and boreholes. While others renovate government lodges and conference centers with billions of tax payers money, Peter Obi has continuously shown compassion to the Nigerian people. I hope this effort inspires other leaders to leave unnecessary renovations of wasteful funds and renovate in the education and health of Nigeria citizens. A New Nigeria is POssible.

In 2023, Atiku Abubakar was the only Presidential Aspirant who said that if the party zoned the office to the South-East, he would support both financially and otherwise_ Sen. Ben Obi A group comprising former governors, senators, and ministers—including Prof. ABC Nwosu, Okwesilieze Nwodo, Achike Udenwa, Onyema Ugochukwu, and Dubem Onyia met with H.E. Atiku Abubakar SIX (6)TIMES at Sen. Ben Obi’s residence. During these meetings, he pledged to support the South-East if the PDP zoned the ticket to the geopolitical zone. According to Punch Newspaper, Wike said Winning, not zoning was PDP's focus. The chair of the zoning committee, Gov. Samuel Ortom - a Wike ally (G5 Governors) stated that the ticket would be open to all. Nyesom Wike never supported the South-East because of his presidential ambition. When the South-East and Obidients Movement asserted in 2023 that ‘it was the turn of the South’, they failed to question Nyesom Wike and his allies (the G5 Governors) about WHICH PART OF THE SOUTH’S TURN? I am confident Wike would avoid answering, knowing that OBJ (8 years) and GEJ (5 years) previously governed Nigeria. Meanwhile, Ayodele Fayose claims Atiku Abubakar and Aminu Tambuwal destroyed the PDP, which I find laughable. Nyesom Wike is largely responsible for the defection of southern presidential hopefuls like Dave Umahi, Ben Ayade, and Peter Obi to other parties. During the visit at the School of Midwifery, Holy Rosary Hospital, Emekuku, Owerri today, Peter Obi echoed the urgent need for young people to be actively involved in building our nation, emphasizing that investing in education and skills is the only way to secure a better future for Nigeria. The admin officials of the school thanked Peter Obi for assisting them build their administrative offices and praised his continuous dedication towards education and health in Nigeria. Peter Obi donated the sum of ₦ 15 million to the cheer of the students and previously donated ₦10 million to support the institution’s development in August 2024. He has now donated a total of ₦25 million to the School with a promise to continue supporting the school’s development. After Peter Obi spoke to the students, a woman who had just given birth brought her baby forward, insisting the child must receive blessings which according to her is “the Peter Obi Grace” 😅. A man that is truly a father, not just of education, but of the people, with their continuous show of love everywhere he goes. A new Nigeria is coming. A new Nigeria is POssible.

The Anambra election has come and gone, but Peter Obi has once again demonstrated his consistency, integrity, and compassion, qualities that continue to drive his passion for a new Nigeria. This is the consistency that reinforces my belief in him. Character is not situational, it is constant. Several people before the election, told him about the vote buying, and he said he won’t ever engage in such. Personally, I saw people being paid when we were in Onitsha down to other communities, and others not caring about the election. Different statements like, “This is not Peter Obi’s election, when his own comes, we will show them”. We don’t even know any of the candidates, it’s only Peter Obi we know” “This is the only time we can collect money oh, when Peter Obi’s own come, we will vote”. Even in his PU, it was relatively empty, only about 20-30 people were interested in the election, most of them old women. Some other people in the community came out when they heard Peter Obi was around to vote, some came late after the accreditation. I noticed a busload of people who came to vote. Over 100 people. They registered them to vote in his PU, they are not even from Anambra. The chaos that ensued was poetic. People stopped them. Still, Peter Obi welcomed everyone, saying, “Let them all vote.” He even went to the buses and greeted them with calmness to their surprise. The boys in the community said they don’t know who they are and refused them voting, Onyisi, they are here to vote against you they said. Peter Obi told them “They are voting against their own future not against me”. Someone even offered ₦5 million to them to buy the votes, but Peter Obi told the man about the Practicing School in the community that was razed by fire, he then said” Vote buying destroys, would you rather destroy or build”. He told the man the money would be used to build the foundation for the classrooms that burnt. Peter Obi wasn’t on the ballot, and yet his integrity still defined the atmosphere He won’t dictate how others should run their election, whether they are from his side of LP or not. He supports who he wants as an individual and casts his votes as one But the way the election has been made about him, shows how the ruling party revolve around him. Even those in the election, left the candidates, to discuss about Peter Obi. They want to claim where they do not belong. A sad attempt of elevating themselves to the level of Peter obi. Just this past week, while others were criminally vote buying, Peter Obi was giving. That is the difference between politics as usual and leadership with purpose. Throughout the week of election, Peter Obi was changing lives. On Oct 31, he donated ₦15 million to College of Nursing, Amichi, and ₦5 million to St. Felix Hospital. The next day, Nov 1, he extended his generosity to Dennis Memorial Grammar School (DMGS) Onitsha. Rested like the Saviour that he is on Sunday Nov 2nd, and continued doing good on the 3rd. On 4th, he donated ₦10 million to College of Nursing, Oji River, and ₦15 million on Nov 5 to College of Nursing, Adazi. That same day, he started the process to rebuild a school in Anambra that was razed by fire, and children have been learning under a tree and a half destroyed over crowded classroom. On 6th, he gave ₦15 million to College of Nursing Iyienu, and ₦15 million to College of Nursing, Ihiala A day to election, 7 Nov, he was in Enugu, where he donated ₦20 million and a total of ₦120 million to College of Nursing in Emene Do the maths. That’s the total that can buy LGAs if he so wishes to be a “bad boy”. If his intention were to buy votes, that amount can easily purchase wards, LGAs, and communities. We cannot continue to expect transformation from one man alone while we sit idle If anything, this election has shown that Peter Obi’s consistency and focus on the future remain intact. While others spent on politics, he invested in people. While others bought votes, he built value.

Even in his PU, it was relatively empty, only about 20-30 people were interested in the election, most of them old women. Some other people in the community came out when they heard Peter Obi was around to vote, some came late after the accreditation. I noticed a busload of people who came to vote. Over 100 people. They registered them to vote in his PU, they are not even from Anambra. The chaos that ensued was poetic. People stopped them. Still, Peter Obi welcomed everyone, saying, “Let them all vote.” He even went to the buses and greeted them with calmness to their surprise. The boys in the community said they don’t know who they are and refused them voting, Onyisi, they are here to vote against you they said. Peter Obi told them “They are voting against their own future not against me”. Someone even offered ₦5 million to them to buy the votes, but Peter Obi told the man about the Practicing School in the community that was razed by fire, he then said” Vote buying destroys, would you rather destroy or build”. He told the man the money would be used to build the foundation for the classrooms that burnt. Peter Obi wasn’t on the ballot, and yet his integrity still defined the atmosphere He won’t dictate how others should run their election, whether they are from his side of LP or not. He supports who he wants as an individual and casts his votes as one But the way the election has been made about him, shows how the ruling party revolve around him. Even those in the election, left the candidates, to discuss about Peter Obi. They want to claim where they do not belong. A sad attempt of elevating themselves to the level of Peter obi. Just this past week, while others were criminally vote buying, Peter Obi was giving. That is the difference between politics as usual and leadership with purpose. Throughout the week of election, Peter Obi was changing lives. On Oct 31, he donated ₦15 million to College of Nursing, Amichi, and ₦5 million to St. Felix Hospital. The next day, Nov 1, he extended his generosity to Dennis Memorial Grammar School (DMGS) Onitsha. Rested like the Saviour that he is on Sunday Nov 2nd, and continued doing good on the 3rd. On 4th, he donated ₦10 million to College of Nursing, Oji River, and ₦15 million on Nov 5 to College of Nursing, Adazi. That same day, he started the process to rebuild a school in Anambra that was razed by fire, and children have been learning under a tree and a half destroyed over crowded classroom. On 6th, he gave ₦15 million to College of Nursing Iyienu, and ₦15 million to College of Nursing, Ihiala A day to election, 7 Nov, he was in Enugu, where he donated ₦20 million and a total of ₦120 million to College of Nursing in Emene Do the maths. That’s the total that can buy LGAs if he so wishes to be a “bad boy”. If his intention were to buy votes, that amount can easily purchase wards, LGAs, and communities. We cannot continue to expect transformation from one man alone while we sit idle If anything, this election has shown that Peter Obi’s consistency and focus on the future remain intact. While others spent on politics, he invested in people. While others bought votes, he built value.

Obasanjo is not a saint, but I think he has settled it in his heart that if Peter Obi turns out to be the last gift he gives to Nigeria, then he has done his best. At least, he gave Nigeria Umaru Musa Yar'Adua from the North, and that would have remained one of the greatest gifts to this country if not for his untimely death. Now, he has identified another man from the South East. From the look of things, Obasanjo seems to have reasoned that if Peter Obi becomes President within his lifetime, then he would have fulfilled what he believes is his duty to Nigeria.
