Such was his relationship with former senior Congress leader late Murli Deora, as recalled by his son and political leader Milind Deora. Recalling his first meeting with Narendra Modi during his tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister, Deora was surprised by the personal connect and ground knowledge Modi had. It was during the funeral of late Pramod Mahajan that Deora met Modi on the stage, seated in front of him. "Narendra Modi ji was seated just in front of me, and I greeted him. He turned back and asked, 'Milind bhai, how are you?' I was surprised because I was very new to politics and was just 27 years old; very few recognized me. He has his ear to the ground and knows everyone." Deora says Modi rises above party politics and give respect to all. One such occasion was during the Howdy Modi event in Houston. "PM Modi tweeted acknowledging the contributions of my father late Murli Deora for fostering Indo-US relations. Modi said, 'My friend Murli Deora would be really happy today.' This gesture made everyone including my family and party workers very proud." Narendra Modi is a leader who rises above political interests, giving priority to national interest and humanity, says Milind Deora.

#WATCH | Gurugram: On her article on PM Modi, Author & daughter of former President Pranab Mukherjee, Sharmistha Mukherjee says, "I wrote an article which was published in many Hindi and also regional newspapers. So there I shared an insight made by my father regarding 2014 election and Narendra Modi ji. That was for the first time in the history of Lok Sabha elections that a new face was declared as the prime ministerial candidate. Otherwise if you see even within Congress also, first there is the election, there is always an assumption and specially if the election is being led by a Prime Minister of the previous government, there is always an assumption that that person is going to be the next Prime Minister. But here in this case, it was a new face and he was projected as the Prime Minister. And so as if it was people who chose not just BJP, not just Narendra Modi Ji's party but Narendra Modi as a Prime Minister to lead India. So that was a very unique factor. This insight was made by my father. And also this is unprecedented that the first term MP, Narendra Modi Ji has been in politics and made his mark as Gujarat Chief Minister and created that aura around him. But 2014 was his first Lok Sabha election. So this is perhaps unprecedented in the history of India that a first term MP is entering the parliament house as the prime minister. So this is quite unique...So my father told Narendra Modi ji when he came to see him after the elections that this mandate is not just for your party but this is a mandate for you also, so you have a far greater responsibility."

TRUE COLOUR OF MODI | The real colours of Narendra Modi was clear long time ago even when he was Gujarat CM. Today he controls the Election Commission of India completely. Listen to what he was doing against the Chief Election Commissioner JM Lyngdoh in 2002. After the 2002 riots in February the then Chief Minister Narendra Modi dissolved the Assembly in July 2002 and wanted to hold elections to benefit quickly from the riots. But the CEC JM Lyngdoh visited Gujarat and said that it is not possible to hold elections in the state because of the law and order situation as thousands of people are staying in relief camps. Modi who wanted the elections so desperately started spinning stories against JM Lyngdoh and started calling him by his full name "James Michael Lyngdoh". He started saying that he gets his instructions from Rome, Italy and he and Sonia Gandhi goes to the same church. Remember it was BJP Govt at the centre at the time. Lyngdoh responded "This is a condemnable comment. These are matters of small people, who have not heard of Atheism. I don't have a religon. I think that religion is responsible for many of these issues." That small man is sitting in the highest chair of the country controlling the entire Election apparatus. The decline of all the institutions is apparent. He doesn't deserve the chair he is sitting on and he is destroying everything he laid his hands on. "When small men begin to cast big shadows, it means that the sun is about to set"
