An 89-year-old man from Co Tyrone has told how he is keeping Ireland’s rare tradition of harp making alive, despite only taking up the craft a few years ago. Noel Anderson, who is originally from Pomeroy but now lives in Strabane, made his first harp at the age of 82 as a favour for a friend. Since then, he has quietly carved out a reputation as one of the country’s most renowned and respected harp makers.
