We're closely monitoring some thunderstorms making their way across Texoma, North Texas, the Brazos Valley, and Southeast Texas at 2:50AM this morning. While these storms are mostly behaving, they are bringing frequent lightning, small hail, and heavy rain. The activity is moving quickly northeast. We expect to see an increase in thunderstorm activity in Southeast Texas over the next few hours. In the far eastern Panhandle, we have thundersnow and thundersleet heading into Oklahoma, leaving behind some freezing drizzle across the Texas Panhandle and West Texas—so be mindful of slick bridges and overpasses. While we have fresher air to start the week the weather models show the air mass over much of Western Europe will go from below average to back above average pretty quickly. Heat is likely to start building back in by the weekend and into early next week. How hot it will get is unclear yet but we could see mid to high twenties in Ireland again.
