Positive Tesla Diner review from Forbes' Brooke Crothers: "On Saturday, the Tesla Diner was busy if not packed at times. And obviously not failing, though some blogs and reports want you desperately to believe otherwise. Contrary to all these eatery blogs and car blogs that say the Tesla Diner is a flop, a failure, a disaster, that is not true, as so many things that are often written about Tesla. There are car blogs that devote all their time to taking down Tesla. I went to the Diner on Friday April 3 and Saturday April 4. I estimate that on both days 90+ percent of the chargers (of the 80 Superchargers) were being used. By that metric alone, the Diner is a success. Yes, I’ve been inside the Diner when it’s slow. But as a Supercharger location with the option to grab a snack it’s a success. It seems that the ulterior motive of some “reviews” is to bash Elon Musk and tell you what a bad, bad man he is. That doesn’t give the reader an honest evaluation of the Tesla Diner as a great charging destination, which, again, is its primary purpose for the vast majority of visitors. It's extremely clean. If you want to come to a pristine place to eat, the Tesla Diner is it."

The average American spends over 3% of their year driving. In a future with autonomous robotaxis, that time will be freed up to do other things while riding in the car. Despite the Cybercab being the smallest Tesla, I found it to be the most comfortable inside. It has the most legroom in any Tesla & the biggest screen in any Tesla (roughly 21”).

Active Tesla Robotaxi lot found in Fort Worth, TX 🚕 38 Cybercabs 🚗 8 Model Ys 🔢 VINs in the 2,300 range (Highest known VINs yet) 🔥 Plenty of activity in Texas. The fleet expansion feels imminent.

Elon Musk: Tesla has no need to buy Uber. “There's no need [to buy Uber] because we have millions of cars that will be able to operate autonomously. And I should say that it's a combination of a Tesla-owned fleet and also enabling Tesla owners to be able to add or subtract their car to the fleet so that existing Tesla owners will be able to earn money by adding their car to the fleet for autonomous use. I think it's maybe possible for Tesla owners to make more in allowing the car to be added to the self-driving fleet then they cost them in the lease. And that's why I'd consider it sort of a business model that's similar to some combination of Airbnb and Uber. Just like Airbnb, you can rent out your spare bedroom or your house if you're not using it and make money on it. And that's what we expect Tesla customers to be able to do.” Interview with David Faber, May 20, 2025 Made and published via

🇺🇸 Pull in, plug in, order from the car and watch the giant screen while a robot walks up with your popcorn. Tesla’s diner looks like a retro road-trip stop. Under that, it may be something colder and more useful: Optimus practicing on real people, one handoff at a time. Only Tesla Diner. Writer: Val
