Our crews have over 800 pieces of equipment working across the city. With heavy snow expected through Monday morning, the best thing residents can do to help is stay off the roads. Fewer vehicles improve safety for our equipment operators & first responders.

Crews have been clearing major roads across the District. With more snow on the way and temperatures expected to drop significantly tonight, our Snow Team is proactively working to prevent re-freezing. The District Snow Team has 200+ snow vehicles on the road, treating side streets and salting primary roads. Please stay safe, drive cautiously, and give our crews room to work. #SnowReadyDC

While you were sleeping, our snow and ice crews were not! Overnight snow was intense in parts of NYS. As the storm winds down this morning, NYSDOT crews remain out clearing roads and addressing slick spots. If you are traveling, slow down and give plows room to work.

Mississauga has received up to 45 cm of snow. All of our resources are currently deployed: ▪️Crews have been working around the clock to clear major roads for emergency vehicles and transit. ▪️ Overnight, equipment began moving into residential neighbourhoods to complete the first round of plowing on roads, sidewalks and to clear space in driveway windrows. This work is ongoing. ▪️ Work is also underway this morning to begin clearing bus stops. With so much snow on the ground, clean up on all surfaces will take time. Multiple rounds of plowing will be required to clear snow aside and additional work will be required in the coming days to remove snow from areas where it can’t be piled, such as bridge decks and intersections. ⚠️Reminder: A Citywide Winter Parking Restriction remains in effect until further notice. Remove parked vehicles from the street. #Mississauga #ONStorm
