Ana Sayfaya Dön

Bhagavan appears in many forms to uplift us; let us NOT use these forms to divide ourselves. Division among devotees is the greatest disservice to Dharma. During an Anugraha Bhashanam in New Delhi, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Mahaswamiji cautioned against the tendency among some groups to create divisions among followers of Sanatana Dharma. Jagadguru Sri Sannidhanam expressed concern over the trend of portraying differences among divine forms in a way that breeds conflict. Extending the point, His Holiness remarked that such divisive attitudes are so harmful that they can disturb even the peace between a husband and wife, let alone the larger community. Sri Jagadguru affirmed that every aastika has the full freedom to worship any form of Bhagavan - be it Shiva, Vishnu, Devi, Ganapati or any other manifestation. Choosing a particular form for personal worship is natural and commendable. However, Sri Jagadguru warned that declaring another form of the same Bhagavan as “lesser” or “wrong” is grave adharma. Sri Jagadguru observed that, despite such attempts, the unifying vision established by Adi Shankaracharya continues to uphold harmony among devotees. In the Krita Yuga, Bhagawan Vishnu, the Protector of the worlds, assumed the Varaha Avatara to annihilate the evil Hiranyaksha. After vanquishing him, Bhagawan, in His divine form as the Varaha (boar), rested in the Sahyadri mountains (Western Ghats). It was then that the Tungabhadra River originated from the Lord’s tusk. Just as the Ganga River, which originates from the holy feet of Bhagawan Vishnu, is highly sacred, the Tungabhadra River, originating from the Lord’s tusk, is also greatly revered. Due to its origination from Sri Yajna Varaha, the scriptures state that the Tunga River is perpetually sanctified by the divine presence of Bhagawan Vishnu. Despite diverging from their common source at Tungamoola and later reuniting, both the Tunga and Bhadra rivers are also referred to as Tungabhadra. The Puranas declare that the mere darshan of this sacred river eradicates sins and afflictions and bestows all auspiciousness. In this short clip, taken during the January 2025 Hampi Vijaya Yatra, Sringeri Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Mahaswamiji illuminates some of these points to locals after visiting temples along the Tungabhadra River in Hampi. *-*-* Join our Official WhatsApp Channel: The online book store - Sharada eGranthalaya: #spirituality #SanatanaDharma #Shankaracharya #Sringeri #Yatra #VijayaYatra #SriSannidhanam #Peetham #Sringeri #Jagadguru #Mahaswamiji #Karnataka #virupaksha #hosapete #Hampi #Hospet #tunga #tungabhadra #rivers
