While the world has been rightfully focused on the war with Iran and its implications, Hamas in Gaza continues to re-establish its complete and firm grip on power, control, and all aspects of life in the destroyed, shrunken, and besieged coastal enclave. Inside the “red zone” that the terror...

Since Hamas took control in Gaza in 2007, by murdering over 188 of their political opponents, Gazan's have been a captive population. Some of them willing, some of them not. After Oct 7, many have started to realize that the enemy isn't Israel - it is, and always has been Hamas. Without doubt, they are the worst thing that has ever happened to the Gazan people. But unfortunately, they ARE the Gazan people - the monster is eating itself alive!

@JacobALinker What can be done at this point Ahmed? On one hand People scream with having a military type of operation to finish Hamas off. On the other diplomacy isn’t working. Hamas won’t give up control willingly.

@JacobALinker Do you know the saddest part is that if the IDF does not shoot a bullet or hurt a fighter or a child then there will be no news about Gaza. I am so sad for you and your family. I’m sorry for the people of Gaza that have been punished by Hamas and now the world.

Nobody cared then and nobody cares now. They only care to defame Jews. It was never about Palestine or Hamas.

There is no help for it. Hamas is able to do that for the same reason settlers are able to terrorize helpless Palestinians: the Israeli army is needed elsewhere. Israel is a small country and its armed forces are also small. The only "time" Israel is Goliath-big is when

It was clear from the beginning that all that destruction would do nothing to remove Hamas, just like it didn’t remove the Houthis and like it won’t remove the IRGC

Perhaps israel should have been more inclined to play ball with the PA instead of winning about who would lead the new government?

I'm afraid not allowing Israel to finish the job has not served the good Palestinians well.

Truly asking: Don't the population in Gaza have some responsibility for not rising up against Hamas? Clearly it will not be easy. And people will die. But isn't it worth the sacrifice?

Hamas’ oppressive grip on Gaza has strengthened as attention shifts to the war with Iran. Hamas is a dangerous terrorist organization on the doorstep of Israel that it openly declares to commit genocide against again. It won’t go down peacefully and its death tunnel system remains largely intact. Hamas operatives embed themselves among the civilian population and cosplay as medical professionals, teachers, and journalists. The Gazan civilian population largely supports the Hamas ideology of genocide towards Israel and the NGO international community largely supports the Gazans. The pro-Palestinian international hate movement largely supports another genocide towards Israel, which leads towards violence against Jews around the world. The IDF will inevitably need to disarm Hamas spurring more antizionist sentiment and violence towards Jews.

This is precisely why Trump’s original plan might be the best thing for Gazans at this juncture. It’s going to take at least a decade to rebuild anyways & no one can touch it until Hamas puts down the arms.

The best and safest route for Gazan is to leave from under Hamas rule and start a new life somewhere else. Hopefully new pro peace education can follow them as well.

The only party who will ever remove Hamas is Israel. And the only path is a full occupation of Gaza.

Hamas leadership has been living lavishly in Qatar while the people that they claim to represent in Gaza are suffering. They’ve been directing a war from the comfort of their five-star hotels for almost two years, refusing to release the 48 hostages that are still being held in Gaza. Today, Israeli officials announced that they took a targeted action against these Hamas leaders who have been terrorizing the region for years. This war in Gaza is brutal. It has to end. Palestinians are suffering, Israelis are suffering. The entire region is suffering. The people of Gaza, the Arab League, the US and Israel are all saying the same thing. Hamas must be removed from power. Inside Gaza, people are risking their lives to protest Hamas, and they’re being silenced, beaten, even killed on the streets. They know that Hamas is the reason Gaza is in ruin. They know that Hamas is the one who started the war, and Hamas is the reason that it hasn’t ended yet. And this has been Hamas’s plan all along, force Israel into a war it never wanted to fight, but has to win. Hamas spent years preparing the October 7th attack. They knew exactly what an urban war in a densely populated area would look like. They all went into hiding and left their people out to suffer. And these devastating consequences for the people of Gaza? That was a part of their strategy, to delegitimize Israel’s standing in the eyes of the world. They knew what they were doing, and Israel could not and still cannot allow these jihadists to live on its borders. No other nation would allow that. This is the linchpin of the entire conflict right now. Once Hamas is gone, the war ends, the suffering ends, and Gaza can finally rebuild. So today, Israel sent a message that there’s no safe place for terrorists anywhere on Earth, and we all need to stand together and say release the hostages, remove Hamas, end the war.
