Yesterday, I had the opportunity to talk to the Western press and realized that the nature and peculiarities of Ukrainian democracy and Ukrainian protest are often unclear to non-Ukrainians, so I would like to clarify some points for the Western audience. No, comparing the peaceful gatherings of the previous few days with the Euromaidan is inappropriate. I had an important meeting with President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen in Brussels. Significant support for Ukraine in the context of the upcoming meeting with President Trump. Today, together and in several formats, we are determining what we will discuss in Washington, D. C. It is crucial that Europe remains as united as it was in 2022. This unity helps bring a just peace closer, and it must remain strong. We agreed on the necessity of a ceasefire for subsequent diplomatic steps, effective security guarantees for Ukraine, and continued sanctions pressure on Russia to limit its future potential. I thank Ursula personally and the whole of Europe that supports us and our quest for a just end to this war.

The anger in South Korea is complex. Some are still upset at the removal of their President Yoon last year. Others think the electronic voting system is rigged. Yet others are concerned about President Lee’s current administration and their close ties to North Korea and China. But almost all agree that in a democracy, every eligible voter should have the ability to cast their vote. And in the recent election, due to ballot shortages at certain precincts, Korean citizens were stripped of the democratic process. That’s why they chat “re-election”. Since the demonstrations started on 6-3, similar rallies have been popping up all over the country with the one in Jamsil being the largest. The Korean National Election committee has already ruled out a re-election, but if this momentum continues, albeit highly unlikely, it’s not impossible. Korean politics is fascinating. Because as a democracy, one could argue they do it better than the US. If enough people protest, the government is forced to heed its people. 4 of the last 5 Presidents of South Korea have ended up indicted or in jail, and the dictators before them were forced out of power. In the US, it doesn’t matter how corrupt a President is — you’re forced to abide under his term regardless of public sentiment, and there’s no accountability for the upper political class and their corruption.

That’s why I’m cosponsoring legislation to establish 18-year term limits for Supreme Court justices, with regular appointments every two years. This reform reinforces the Court’s purpose and strengthens the judicial independence our democracy depends on.

Kashmiris are still living with restrictions, unresolved grievances, and real pain. Yet Bilawal’s urgent priority is not addressing any of that , it is forcing people into a managed electoral exercise so his party can claim a “mandate.” When they refuse, the great democrat reaches for violence. His raised voice gave the game away. The boycott is working. And instead of reflection, he reached for the oldest feudal tool available. PTI stands with the people of Kashmir , not with those who think a couple of thappads will crush political resistance. We do not take lectures on democracy from a man who confuses it with domination. So far, utilizing his fear mongering of a dangerous and divided world as he fumbles trade negotiations with the US, Mark Carney implementing carbon taxes increases and carbon based economy in Canada, net zero targets and now moving towards digital ID; "We (with provinces) agreed to bring in digital verification for trades people..." Trades people moved around the country and work around the country and have done so for as long as Canada existed. Why is this needed now and who will implement it?
