CNN's SE Cupp says the #WHCD cannot continue b/c of the ongoing "violence against journalists" and "politicians"... "Can I just say something? While I appreciate the courage and stoicism from my colleagues here and Weijia Jiang at -- at the -- at the dais to continue this night, what we just watched is so upsetting. I'm in studio, and I'm shaking watching this, and I can't imagine what Erika Kirk is going through again. And I think it's important to remember that the people in that room, we know so many of them. They're also human. And I imagine that while they want to show up for press freedom, and we don't know what the motive of this shooter was, I imagine some of them are also really scared and traumatized. And I think viewers who are watching some of this footage will be scared and traumatized by it. It's really upsetting. And I feel so exhausted by how much violence we have to cover violence against journalists, violence against politicians. I just can't imagine continuing on with this night. I understand the importance of standing up there and standing against these threats of violence. But this is very real, and we are human. Journalists are human, too. And I would really understand if, for security reasons and also just compassion, human -- human reasons, this night didn't continue as planned."

As Tropical Storm Lee continues to move slowly across the province, parts of Nova Scotia are experiencing wind gusts that can make conditions hazardous for our crews. When wind speeds are over 80km an hour, it isn’t safe for our crews to be up in the buckets and so we focus on assessing damage, responding to 911 calls, and restoring power from the ground where possible. In some parts of the province, we anticipate that these significant winds will continue for much of today. We do our best to give an estimate of when power will be restored. As we continue to assess damage across the province, we will update estimates. We encourage everyone to keep an eye on for the latest information. Yesterday was a proud moment for Jamaica 🇯🇲 We officially handed over the Tree Relocation Device (TRD) to the Forestry Department. I spoke about this in my Budget Presentation because it’s something I truly believe in. Too many times when we’re building roads, houses, or other infrastructure, we end up cutting down big, mature trees, trees that took decades to grow and play a big role in keeping our air clean, our soil strong, and our communities cool and beautiful. But this device changes that. The TRD can safely dig up and move these trees to another location, so we don’t have to destroy them. That means we can continue to build and grow, without losing the natural beauty that makes Jamaica so special. This is the first machine of its kind in the region, and Jamaica is leading the way. We’re showing the world that development and environmental protection can work together, and that’s something we can all be proud of.

And, there's a lot I want to share, I'll go ahead and take my time. We're artists in our 10th years now, right? At this point, it's like there are a lot of worries and things to think about. The members have started going to the army, I really felt their empty presence, and I wondered until when the fans will continue to love us, I'm sure we all wondered that. But, after the 10th anniversary, and the album got released, up to the concert practice, while watching all our members, I thought this. Our passion has not died down yet. We're still walking towards the same path, the same goal. Of course, we can't go with the same energy that we had in our early 20, but still inside our hearts, the fire hasn't gone out. So I had that realization. We will go on for a long time. I want to continue this for a long, long time. That's what I thought. So that's why, from now on, how could we make Carat proud? Wondering this, how can we become better and better in those ways? And just like the concert title NEW_, I think we could show those sides, but we will each develop in our own ways. We have to keep working hard to shine. So that's why, I'm not scared of the future at all. Because we have our Carat, and because I have my members by my side, that's why I can keep going on. It is unfortunate that our candidate Hon. Isaack Abduba Fayo has betrayed us out of greed and allowed himself to be compromised by the state. Two days ago, he started disappearing from the ground, forcing us to continue with the campaign in his absence. However, I want to assure the great people of Isiolo South that we will continue with the small projects we had already started—for the sake and benefit of the community. I take this opportunity to sincerely thank each and every one of you for the overwhelming support you gave us during our short stay in Isiolo. Together, we move forward.

And I think raising that for Texans so that they know that the Attorney General is hiding this information, that's key. My hope is that we can build enough bipartisan support that can pressure the Attorney General to do the right thing and release all information about this case so we can get our questions answered and then we can talk about some other issues that are of importance to Texans.
