Studs is actually the term that Black WLW created when Former Racist Butch women wouldn't allow the Black WLW to identify with them due to them considering themselves to be above Black women at the time. Although the vernacular seems to be shifting drastically, the origins of these words initially mean, Butch = White WLW, Studs = Black WLW
