Throwback to Jim Crow when we HAD to move. I don’t move an inch anymore after my friend pointed it out a few years ago.

It’s not natural for them, they’ve never had to in this country. My grandma raised me to not move out the way unless they’re moving as well

Facts 💯 This has been my lived experience that they’re the most stubborn and entitled group when it comes to basic manners, social etiquette, spatial awareness, ie like MOVING OUT THE WAY It’s a “I’m here now” attitude that expects everyone to revolve around them: walkway, parking lot, grocery store, gym, whatever. Like do you know how out of touch you have to be to be standing in a literal doorway and not think you have to move??? It’s insane really It’s not all of them nor exclusive but it stands out above others in my experience

Agree. Especially when people are doing this three and four abreast on the sidewalk and don’t even give you any room. I’ve told my wife on multiple occasions as we single file up past one of these walkers, that one day I’m going to forget that I’m no longer a lineman and throw a forearm shiver.

Many white pople have caused themselves pain playing chicken with me on the sidewalk.

I noticed this a couple of years ago. Now I just stop and stand there and force them to move aside. Because, why do we always have to move?

Yup. I remember I was going down a narrow hallway & a man was not going to move as we passed each other. He didn't move, so I didnt move. We bumped the shit out of each other No "excuse me," no nothing. I was actually shocked But since then, if you aren't moving, I'm not moving!

There are studies about this. They think they own and can dominate every single space. Black and brown people we MUST STOP GIVING IN. It's absolutely hilarious when you don't move. They go nuts but they can never give a valid reason as to why we are the ones expected to move.
