Whitney’s biggest hit was a Dolly Parton cover. Plus as a bonus Mariah’s music videos were a lot more diverse with the visuals. Mariah catalog from even just the 90s imo Whitney doesn’t touch MC! The range: Big ballads, Pop classics, R&B belters, Hip Hop samples + collabs, that MASSIVE holiday hit, inspirational and/or gospel leaning tracks, etc. Whitney has massive hits but way less range!
