I can’t be the only one who sees it

The story I know is Thomas Rice was walking to the theater and over heard a slave who was brushing his horse singing about ‘ol Jim Crow. Rice created/portrayed the character in blackface on stage as a single unifier of all racial stereotypes into 1 person.

I didn't realize how apartheid this was.
