Thailand.... Years ago, I was on a business trip to Lahore, Pakistan, flying on Thai Airlines and transiting through Bangkok back to Singapore where I lived (for 7.5yrs). I had a First Class seat, first row, on the right side of the plane... I boarded and was soon asked if I would move a few rows back. I said, no, I like the first row bulkhead seat and purposefully chose it. After a couple of back and forths, they gave up. Why did they ask? The Thai Crown Princess was coming on the flight to Singapore (later found out, for a shopping spree); and she ended up sitting in the left side of the plane- first row.... I watched in amazement during the two hour flight, as the flight attendants were crawling to her seat, serving her drinks and food. I felt kind of "royal" being on equal status on that front row, and couldn't help to be a little snarky saying to the flight attendant that she didn't have to crawl and bow when she was serving me my meal. True story.
