Wealthy people and Right-wing governments want us to be less educated and less intelligent , because poor people are very easy to control , and very lucrative.

They don't talk about science in the media. Because it disapproves and makes people question the God theme! And almost all media companies are Jewish owned. That's why they don't talk about Indigenous problems or suffering. Their beliefs and behaviors are the mainstream!

La vulgarisation des sciences n'est pas chose simple ! Rares sont les personnes capables de mettre à la portée de tous des théories complexes. La didactique n'est pas le travail de journalistes (quoique...) mais celui des enseignants !

Media would rather push the 19th century pseudoscience of eugenics. “Race theory” was debunked decades ago by genetic anthropologists. The human “race” has been in a DNA blender for hundreds of thousands of years. There are no black, brown, white, Asian, or Semite races, just Homo sapiens in a variety of colors, ethnicities and tribes lost in the wilderness of ignorance.

Creo que el profesor Sagan estaría orgulloso de canales como Date un Vlog, El Robot de Platón o Quantum Fracture.

I asked the sacramento bee the main newspaper in the capital of california to add a science section back in 1969. I also asked for a political section stating the bills being introduced & upcoming open assemblies. 3 times never even a reply so i went in and sat for 3 hours. nada

Major media outlets are not as relevant as they were when Professor Sagan made this observation. Today, it's there if you want to spend your time on it. The problem is that publish or perish has reduced the quality of most of that science to mediocre at best.

He’s so close! We need to have conversations about how media is motivated, how/why it has to compete… (I realize this is a clip from some longer conversation… how did it continue, I wonder)

Look at a news- or entertainment station for let’s say 24 hours. The most televised item is what the station is all about.

@pe0sat Hmm. I get his bigger point. However at the time he asked this (late 80s?) NOVA had been on for 13 years and the Science Times weekly in NY Times had been around for 9. And now there’s plenty of science coverage.

A sound mind and brilliance can produce this electric thought patterns but it’s a rarity. Most People are compelled to play to masses for followers, ratings, short term gains and all such and forget what it is that needs to be understood and achieved. Yes, it’s a slower process as it’s a qualitative process and a better learned experience. Mass hysteria and political rhetorics and selfish gains have deep seated roots everywhere, it’s not limited to any region or country. It’s a mentally pre-conditioned, brainwashed models that recycles itself.
