Who did it better ?

WIT and not just for the animation itself, the writing was much better with WIT.

I’ll always say wit. I’m still devastated they had to drop the anime.

Genuinely nothing beats Wit’s line work

I like Wit’s art style better. You can see that Mappa has more detailed textures for SOME objects (most background elements were copied over). It’s sort of like cranking up the graphics settings in a video game. I dislike how Mappa handled shadows and the faces, though.

I don't like how mappa always give these weird lines under the eyebrows. For me, it seems very senseless.

Both are good 👍 The differences are acceptable. In different stages of the story, the characters' feeling is different, I will consider that is the differences of scene setting.

Wit studio is way better. I am talking in general. Mappa has made this art a manufacturing production line benefiting no one but stake holders.

Wit is too clean and proper, it lacks grittiness, it looks like a generic anime. It's not bad, it's... Standard. Mappa has more textures, the people are suffering, the hairs are not luscious, the furnitures are shabby, faces are tired. I prefer Mappa, not even close

While I absolutely love WIT and they did amazing work with Attack on Titan, I have to go with Mappa. Simply because they nailed the look of the show to resemble more of the manga.

I like both but I definitely prefer Mappa's work. It has a much more serious tone that fits a lot better.

Yeah compare 2013 animation to 2020s animation, also the manga drawing was way worse in the first chapters

mappa got more frames and a darker vibe wit got bright digital vibe i prefer mappa

Mappa felt more like how the late manga chapters were. As all artists, their art changes or progresses as they grow. I know in the beginning the mangaka’s style seemed more casual and WIT had to work with it.

I prefer Mappa but WIT def made AoT feel unsettling with certain frames. I love both studios but Mappa def has my vote
