I’d also like to add that Helium, where he did this in Portland is not a huge club. I have no idea what the capacity is however it can’t be much over 200 and there is no barrier between the seats and the comedians. He’s literally less than 10 feet in front of the crowd with basically no security. Big fucking balls.

The joke itself was solid but not his strongest IMO, still cracked a smile. That said, this is exactly why I love stand-up: comedy is supposed to be the last real safe space where we can say the wild, uncomfortable, over-the-top stuff out loud without it being taken as policy. If a bit makes half the room laugh and the other half walk out… mission accomplished. What do you think, has comedy gotten too 'safe,' or is this the kind of edge we need more of? @BenBankas keep swinging
