Away from whatever game it is that they played, I maintain that the average employer in Nigeria is a “user.” This video proves my point. They spend nearly the whole day working for you and sometimes do extra hours, too. And I bet whatever you pay them will be a mockery of the hard work and dedication they give. You use them as content creators, serving you delicious content to build your brand's online visibility. And I can bet you didn’t pay them a dime for their content value and their image right? I doubt you even seek their consent for content. You simply order them and they submit. You didn’t stop at that; you turned them into your involuntary video vixens. And, of course, it would be for free, and all to your benefit. One employee, three different hectic roles - that's exploitation! One may argue, “Oh, they look happy doing it. They are staff and should contribute to their employer’s business growth.” Well, I disagree. Anything outside an employee’s specific job role should come voluntarily from the employee and must be adequately compensated for by the employer. So, next time you want to use your employee, make sure it comes from their heart and that you compensate them adequately. Hope this helps.✍️
