Who needs a mocap suit? 😁Testing out AIOS - All-in-One-Stage Expressive Human Pose and Shape Estimation (link in thread). I uploaded a video from Pexels and it created the 3D mesh, which I was able to import into Blender and use Geometry nodes to control. (see thread for nodes).

Here’s a proof of concept showing how data calculated in Python can be used in Blender. #Blender can process the received data with custom geometry nodes, custom shaders and full 3D interactivity. This minimal example uses @networkX in Project Jupyter. Learn more in this thread🧵

Little something I've been working, I have been able to replicate how WWE 2K do their mesh warping in CAS mode. I can now import any CAS item to Blender, and warp it to a character exactly like 2K and apply the body mesh masking. #WWE2K26

hi all, excited to join! i'm building an expressive mini "shoggoth" robot which will eventually be hooked up to gpt4o realtime voice. i'm currently working on the low-level policies, which are trained in a mujoco simulation with RL. to delay working on raw-pixels for now, i trained a pose-estimation model using deeplabcut and triangulate the position in 3d space using the stereo cameras. eventually, i'll use gpt4o's tool calling capabilities to activate several of these policies (closed and open loop) based on the dialog flow! captions: manual actuation of the tentacle / 3d pose estimation / target design

If you think this is just another silly demo made with AI, read this post. You might change your mind, because this demo is about MATH. What you see on the screen is not a render from Blender (obviously, it’s not that good). It’s a three.js app built with Toolcraft. Available on the web and rendered in real time(link in the comments). But Blender still has a lot to do with it. Blender has Geometry Nodes - a powerful node-based system for creating and manipulating procedural geometry. In other words, it’s math. And math is a universal language. And who do you think is pretty good at math? >>> AI. Now you can download or buy Blender files from marketplaces, and when they contain Geometry Nodes for procedural animations, objects, surfaces, or effects, you can transfer that logic to the web. Make it real-time, make it interactive. Materials are a separate story, of course. They can still suck unless you use the right tricks: PBR, HDRIs, material blending, displacement, and faked surface relief. So why is Blender important here? Blender is open source, and many tools around it are open source too. An AI trained on their code. That means it can translate the math from one environment to another quite accurately. If you’ve been struggling to reproduce some idea with AI that you had in your head or seen in some references, and it has something to do with Geometry Nodes, and you can find that idea or a close one in the Blender ecosystem - it means you can transfer it to the web. If you use the /3d command in Omma, it will generate a 3D model and automatically place it in a 3D scene, all in one shot. The resulting GLB model is automatically compressed and optimized. (demo on this thread)

The Fondant Custom Normals Blender addon is being tested, and we're aiming for a 1.0 release next week! The first feature is the Weighted Normals + Laplacian Smoothing Geometry Nodes modifier. This let's you calculate Normals that are as clean as a nice quad mesh even if your topology is a mess and triangulated! We'll be following up with more tools to support creating high quality Normals for 3D anime and vtuber characters. We have an optimized adjustable Face Normal Transfer proxy mesh nearly ready to go. Complex workflow? Break it down into sub-workflows for better performance and easier re-use. Now, it’s too easy not to. Steps to get more modular workflows: 1. Select a set of connected nodes 2. Right-click and select Convert to sub-workflow (or Alt + X) 3. Watch magic happen 🪄 🎩 This action will opened a new tab and paste in the selected nodes with their parameters intact! For the encore, the selected nodes in the original workflow will be replaced automagically with a Call My Sub-workflow node. #n8n #lowcode #awesome
