The sonic the hedgehog series (when considering all the canon and non canon information) tells an extremelyyy similar story - although it also insinuates that sonic and robotnik take place 1,200 years in our future and were also always prophecied to exist and fight. Also talking about “the ancients” who created the time stones, chaos emeralds and sol emeralds. Time travel plays a HUGE role in the lore and i didnt know this until recently lmao sonics like advocate figure, and shadow is an insinuated clone of him through time, and silver is their descendant. Metal sonic being sonic from an alternate timeline where hes robotisized. I love it man lmao all too real in a sense
