An 18-month-old tiger (a sub-adult) is currently being reintroduced into the wild for the second time. It was previously brought back in because it was unable to hunt and would have starved to death. The collar allows it to be identified and tracked. A strong bond remains with the volunteer who raised it from a young age, and who hopes that this attempt at reintroduction will succeed.

A tale as old as time. Who is at fault. You’re driving along when a Jeep in another lane makes a swift maneuver and gets in front of you in your lane. Because of the speed you were maintaining, now you’re technically tailgating. However, the Jeep suddenly slams on its breaks and you run into the back of it. So who is at fault. Who does the insurance believe is at fault. Because you had a dash cam the Jeep was found at fault but if that cam wasn’t there would it be the same outcome.

You see him perched right on the edge with his front legs dangling over the railing, staring straight into the camera with that blank “what now” look before he turns and shifts like he’s about to hop the whole thing. Would you run over and push him back in or just stand there filming the whole escape attempt?

Earlier today I was ironing some clients clothe with the gas iron when I had the sudden urge to use the toilet. I turned off the gas and went to the toilet. I went about with other things when I came out thinking the iron was off. Next thing I heard was Mummy your table is burning. I rushed down to find that the gas was still on and I had only increased the heat instead of turning it off. What amazed me was that the rubber iron mat that came with it didn't burn but everything beneath it melted. Does anyone know the kind of material they use in making the mat? Alhamdullilah, what if it happened during the week when my kids are not around? Why is it so hard to fix the power problem in this country so we don't have to resort to endangering our lives trying to solve problems that we shouldn't be having in 2026? In all, Alhamdullilah.

Cancer Diagnosis. When I was diagnosed with cancer 22 years ago, the first doctor I saw told me there was nothing wrong with me. It was only when I got a second opinion that the cancer was found. In Ashfield, there are around 540 new cancer cases every year. Yet only around 55% of cancers in Ashfield are diagnosed in the early stages. So if in doubt, get checked out, and get a second opinion. It was great to catchup with Cancer Research UK yesterday and see the work they have been doing recently.
