Who remembers this classic FA Cup moment? 🏆

@RobboUnited77 I was there, then we won the replay 4-1 at Main Road which I went to as well.

I watched it on TV. It was in those days when you just knew United would find a way.

I was at the game in the old Olympic Gallery, later became good friends with Jon Halworth, great keeper, but Sparky's ability to volley was and still is second to none.

@agust2023_mar Went berserk, fell forward three rows of seats in the United end behind that goal………..and still got the scar 😂🇾🇪🇾🇪

I was right behind the goal.

Remember this line it was yesterday. Gutted for Oldham

I do, I was there. We were poor and when Sparky scored the crowd went absolutely nuts.

Sparky was different gravy!!

As clear as if it happened yesterday

Not sure remember would be the word but we were there @simon3677

Always Skip past it , still can’t watch it , broke my heart and still does

Semi final replay in main rd was unreal

Don’t think Oldham ever recovered from this

Was in that end 😎

Behind the goal in line with Sparky's volley. Knew it was in straightaway.

I do as I was in the United end

I’d banished this. Cunts.

Sadly, Remember it all too well

Watched it live a just knew he was gona score a screamer a volley or half volley

Butt played in that game! That's incredible

We were terrible that day, never looked like scoring, me and my dad were considering leaving then Sparky did this 😃

Who put the ball in for him? Bruce?

Hughesy

I was gutted for Oldham. Really, really gutted for them.

Revising for finals Took an afternoon off to watch on TV My screams.... Remember we were having a wobble at the time

I missed that game but went to the replay at Maine Road. A brilliant game, obviously helped by United winning 4-1.
