This is why you never fuel your bike while sitting on it. If this had cause a fire, this rider is sitting in the middle of it.

if you put the handle back in the pump the pump gets shut off, to bad he didn't know that...

Once you let go of the trigger then the flow of petrol should stop immediately. If it failed to stop then it is a faulty pump and is the sole responsibility (fault) of the the Garage (Morrisons).

He shouldn't be on the bike fueling in the first place and if he wasn't he could have simply turned it off at the pump...I know lots of people do it this way but that doesn't make it ok. Just like you shouldn't fill cans in the trunk of a car or back of a pick up.

WTF is he doing filling up the bike while he's sitting on it? That severely limits mobility, and limits options in an emergency, and this video demonstrates why that is a bad idea. Don't be stupid. Don't be lazy.

Where I'm from, we pay first then pump oil, after hitting the quantity, it will automatically stops.

Can't say ive ever filled my motorcycle up, WHILE I was sitting on it. That seems weird to me, as the gas station is one of the few breaks you get to stretch.

This is why we don't sit on motorcycles when refueling, he could have hit the emergency pump shut down button for when an incident like this happens.

Pump malfunction is fuel stations responsibility it is their pump that has a broken part or a lack of maintenance/neglect, it's not the customers fault their equipment failed 🤷

Skill issue. You could’ve stopped the pump by pushing the flap where the nozzle goes. You should always “exit” your vehicle before pumping in the first place.

The biker should pay, clearly his fault, he should learn how to use it..

There is always an emergency shutoff somewhere away from the pumps. You should always visually locate it just before using the pumps. It’s for your safety

This is exactly why we don’t fuel our motorcycles while straddling them the hot motor could have flashed all that fuel and the rider would not have been able to run away

literally could've just smacked the flap or holder for the pump and it woudve ended sale and stopped pumiping. But bikers with go pros are super Low IQ victims of everything.

There are normally at least two cut offs. Putting the nozzle in the holder will cut the pump. If that doesnt work there are red emergency cut-off switches somewhere on the forecourt that cut all pumps

Clearly it was a malfunction of the pump and the station is liable. It could easily be a lawsuit

There is an emerging shut off it’s easy to reach so long as you don’t sit your lazy arse on the bike while pumping your petrol.
