The guy who didn't have his dog on the leash. If someone has to kick your animal to keep their animal safe because you are not having them on a leash, that is on you as a negligent owner.

If an unleashed dog came after/attacked my dog, I'd kick it away too, and if the owner decided to intervene when he clearly had no control of his dog and assaulted me, all bets are off; dude is going down, too.

Dog off leash is 100% to blame. First of all, people think their dogs are “friendly” but they never put in account that maybe the other dog is not. My labs love everyone. My Heeler does not. I have had an off leash dog run up to my Heeler who was on leash. I had to raise my voice and repeat “not friendly” to warn the human. The off leash dog, would not leave us alone, until the owner, grabbed their dog and apologized. It could have gone sideways real quick. Thank God I trained my Heeler to pay attention to me. If not there would have been a big fight.

We could all take a lesson from the dogs. 😁

I was walking my dog on a leash the other day and had this happen. I picked her up as the other dogs charged and I told the owner of the unleashed dogs to go fk himself.

Random pepper spray kid needs to upgrade to some Fox Labs or Sabre Red. Whatever he’s using looks about as effective as tap water. Oh, and the unleashed dog guy is definitely in the wrong!

It’s always the guy or gal, with their dogs loose off the leash. I walk mine in the back areas, in the woods and at some point another visitor appears.., coming towards me. My kids are leashed. For your protection. And I carry. Don’t screw with my dogs. I even go off trail, so tha the can pass by mine group and the little pissant digs always start shit.

As someone how has been attacked by a dog not on a leash it is the fault of the non leash dog / person.

The white dog didn't look to be attacking the beagle, it just wanted to play. The man really didn't need to kick it, but the off-leash owner could have avoided that whole interaction by keeping his dog on a leash, for sure.

Dudes lucky his dog is still alive. As a cc permitted person, I could shoot your dog if it was attacking mine. Oddly enough, I can’t shoot a person attacking my dog, as it is considered property, but animals are free game.
