You will Cry all you want but Some facts: 1. Not just Vinesh but Italy's Emanuela Liuzzi was also disqualified from the Paris Olympics after she was found overweight. But we didn't hear Italy's opposition playing politics. 2. The Indian Wrestling Federation had very little liability in Vinesh's case. The federation made an exception for Vinesh, allowing her to have a personal coach and dietician. 3. Vinesh handpicked her coach and dietician. The Indian Wrestling Federation agreed to her demand and choice. 4. Vinesh has been with the same coach and dietician team when she wrestled in the 50 Kg category in Bishkek for the Olympic qualification tournament and the Grand Prix of Spain. So they knew how to manage her weight. 5. No one "created the circumstance" to force Vinesh to compete in the 50 kg category. Vinesh had previously competed in the 53kg category but switched to 50kg due to another athlete securing the quota. 6. Vinesh had previously unsuccessfully failed to drop weight to qualify for the 58 kg category in the Rio Olympics. 7. Vinesh could not have given a walk over citing injury and retained her Silver medal. This is because the rules say that an athlete has to still show up for their weigh-in despite injury.
