It's not efficient. It has worse healthcare outcomes for the population in general, and costs substantially more, even per capita, than basically any other. It's a hugely inefficient system.

He’s obviously never had care in other countries, both Korea and Turkey are superior in wait time, quality of care, cost. There’s too much expensive bureaucracy here

Americans have to work till they are 65 or older because healthcare is unaffordable without it being provided by your employer or govt job. The ugly truth is that if healthcare was affordable you would see mass retirements and our entitlement programs would collapse.

Imagine if we had free market healthcare. He's right we spend the money, but the prices are too high because the supplier and customers don't trade, there's no clarity of health car pricing, it's fully regulated and licensed and you are told you cannot just care for your own body
