It did not cost the police $125k. It cost the tax payer $125k. Their reputations stayed in tact as even if they were fired they could get a job as a police officer in a different town.

"He could have handled it better" .... The cop has an obligation to handle it better. The victim / citizen does not.

The police didn't pay a dime. That $125K came from the tax payers. If the officers responsible had to pay for the lawsuits then this kind of policing would stop real fast.

Jail is too good for cops like this.

Wait, the police department had a reputation?!

"Because of your history, I'm going to have a dog do free air around the car". So for one, around the car obviously isn't inside, go ahead and walk the dog around the car if that's what you're going to do, but basing it off past history and not probable cause seems sketchy.

Every police officer in this country should be forced to take classes on the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Most officers are just arrogant losers

bc you have past crimes does not make it a PC search .... that cop is retarded XD

More info

*It cost taxpayers $125,000

Not defending the cop, he was wrong, period. But the guy could have handled it better too. Did he have a wheelchair in the car? If he's paraplegic, he probably has some assistance item. He could have directed the officer to get that for him or ask if he could have retrieved it.

I didn't hear their job termination!!!!

Butcher all pigs.

Screw jail. We used to deal with road pirates and highway bandits swiftly and without mercy. Jail? No. Gutter? Now we're talking.

$125k? Peanuts. Should have been multiple millions.

You can't lawfully ''do a free air'' because of his past history UNLESS he's on a conditional release, parole, or probation. You can't even do it on RAS alone. You have to have PC. I drove drunk 3 times 50 years ago. You can't demand I do FSTs for that past.

More steroid infused pigs

The police failure (which led to a judicial settlement) was not providing proper mobility assistance (such as a wheelchair). The officer knew what the driver said was true (he saw the special controls), but the driver had a criminal record and committed two actionable mistakes.

It's some egotistical fools working as police officers, when they do this sort of stuff they need home visits!

It did NOT cost the police $120,000. TAXPAYERS paid that shit!😡

DIPMOP cops strike again. That's Dumb, Ignorant, Power Monger, Overpaid, Psychopathic cops.

Because all cops are like this

Everyone in government has immunity. The government murdered 40 million with the shot Rape babies asses Murder the babies Eat the babies Then drink their blood No one goes to jail because they are Gods. And we must obey our masters🇺🇸

Because they hear excuses like this all of the time

only 125k? i'd sue for 1.25 million

Who the fuck is in charge of Police recruitment in the Ununited Shit of America, Stephen Miller??

They made this so easy for ADA 😂🤦🏾♂️

@Grok what happened to the police officer? and how much did the guy receive?

Life without parole for the cops. Minimum.

the point of cops is to keep the public under control of the rich the only reason cops go to jail is that something is a problem for someone with a lot of money

@CrimKarma What reputation
