I tried listening to the podcast with Calley Means, Mary Talley Bowden MD, and ☣️ Pleb Kruse = BTC foundationalist in exile 🟩🔆, but it was unlistenable. Calley Means is fantastic. Dr. Mary Bowden is fantastic. Dr. Jack Kruse is an extremely smart man—but he’s gone off the deep end. Calley does an admirable job attempting to have an honest conversation, but Dr. Kruse seems more focused on finding connections between Calley and “evil globalists” from when Calley was a sophomore in college. At one point, Dr. Kruse even accused Calley and Casey Means of lying about parts of their mother’s death, after Calley repeatedly asked him to be more respectful. That’s when I turned it off. Let me be clear: I’m not here to claim I know more than Dr. Kruse about COVID or vaccines—I don’t, not even close. I’m also not here to suggest Calley does, either; in fact, I think Calley would admit as much. What I am here to say is that I know when someone is their own worst enemy, and that’s exactly what I see in Dr. Kruse during this podcast. If you want to get your point across, you can’t make people hate you in the process. The way he spoke about Calley and Casey’s mother was, to me, disgusting. It made me resent him—even the valid points he made earlier in the podcast. We see this issue in many different aspects of life. Protestors trying to prove points make people despise them. Bosses trying to prove points make employees despise them. Parents trying to prove points make their kids despise them. Teachers trying to prove good points make students despise them. The list goes on. I deeply respect people like Calley Means and Dr. Bowden for engaging in these conversations. I’m just disappointed that figures like Dr. Kruse clearly have no interest in doing the same.
