It's not that red are loaded first, it's that they are loaded as a color group. If you notice, after the red is loaded, then it's all blue, then all black ones. The color doesn't matter as to the order of which color is loaded first. It's so in the event a bag needs to pulled; a threat, or a passenger is deplaned for security reasons they need to offload their checked bags. They can find it a LOT faster if they know they are looking for a certain color; red, blue, green, etc. If the situation gets REALLY serious, they offload all the bags to the ramp, then the passengers, then tell them to identify their bag. Again, way faster if they are grouped by color.

Just happened to be the first bags off the cart... bags are loaded in no order... first off the cart first into the bay.

As a marker in case the plane breaks up or crashed. This way they could identify what section of the plane has been compromised or if there could be any survivors.

This is total BS. I have red luggage and its mixed in with all the others. Many of us have watched luggage get loaded into aircraft so we’re not as stupid as this post!
