Why are so many 2D roguelikes structured like bullet hells or vampire survivors?? Long-ranged enemies are great, and so are fodder enemies! But I've had my fix. Ichorous is more about direct encounters with a main threat and a few supporting creatures!

I’m so good at remembering to put a link. FOLLOW PLEAAAASE

the sound design is immaculate

And I'll bet it's the same affair of-wait, there's no I-frame moves...

I love how he shakes his sword at the player like an angry old man shaking his fist lol, also it's cool that this gave the vibe of two characters actually fighting eachother despite the simplistic visuals

grape jelly 🤤🤤🤤

Oh my gawd

back to work

You just explained why I've slowly been burning out on Roguelites for years. Tired of fighting increasingly massive walls of bullets while the game starves me for health for the few times I get hit. I'll keep an eye on this one.

Dude this is awesome and I love it but please make the damage numbers optional if they aren’t

There’s a button to turn it off but it’s useful for some upgrades to know what your combo is

I really like your game's theme! The color palette choice is excellent and even the background effects are subtle enough for a pixel game that they feel like they are part of the environment the way they dangle like that. Even the particle effects are all just so deliciously pixely. I love it!

That looks intense and brutal. The parry feels especially satisfying.

Sick! About the enemy thing I heard a speedbump - threat idea I liked, like if the enemy is a speedbump to be avoided or a threat to be dealt with. You're clearly going for the threat route which is cool.
