Teachers are not qualified to deal with complex issues such as gender dysphoria. The only logical thing to do is let the parents know so they can seek professional help. They'd do the same if the child was suicidal, showed signs of self harm, or had some other obvious illness.

Enforcing parental rights is not “attacking trans rights in schools”.

Children are blank slates. Schools are there to teach them tools that will help them become purposeful in life. The sexual aspect is the parents discussion not the school. The school should be teaching more about the merit of a persons character vs skin/sex.
