Why are we calling immigrants "burdens!" Good stuff from Rory Hearne The narrative blaming immigrants coming to the country suits Fine Gael & Fianna Fáil who have failed in Housing, Health and public services for decades. #EE24 #twip

@RoryHearneGaffs @FineGael @fiannafailparty There are immigrants who are burdens, both legal and illegal. We have the right to deport these. We should not have to pay for lazy immigrants.

@RoryHearneGaffs @FineGael @fiannafailparty Because they are 🤷‍♀️ Illegal immigrants are a burden on the tax purse & the tax payer. Refugees are also a burden on the tax purse & the tax payer. Economic Legal immigrants in the numbers that are being allowed are a burden on maintaining our culture & on available resources.

@RoryHearneGaffs @FineGael @fiannafailparty Imagine having the gaul to sit there and say "most people in state paid accommodation who also get full medical cards are working" and NOT understanding where the anger from thousands of irish families forced to pay extortionate costs for housing and healthcare comes from 🤦‍♂️

@RoryHearneGaffs @FineGael @fiannafailparty Rory hits the nail on the head. The gov and some in opposition are happy to punch down, target those in the most need just to deflect from their failings as TDs and Minister’s. I’ve never seen any of them on our disability demos demanding an end to poverty in our community.

@RoryHearneGaffs @FineGael @fiannafailparty It’s never been MORE OBVIOUS than in this so called debate, how badly the establishment want to portray a certain message & view these bigot fringe candidates as a potential help in that regard. We really could use some intelligent & responsible leadership in government & RTE.

@RoryHearneGaffs @FineGael @fiannafailparty research from elsewhere indicates that, in aggregate, non-EU migrants are a significant charge on the state over their lifetimes . see Dutch study linked and corresponding research in Denmark by their Ministry of finance

@RoryHearneGaffs @FineGael @fiannafailparty I think the onus is on you Mick to explain how they are not burdens. Have illegal migrants coughed up for the €1b spend in taxes? Will they ever?

why do champagne socialists think the majority of people in this country want to take in endless numbers of migrants regardless of a housing crisis?

@RoryHearneGaffs @FineGael @fiannafailparty So 300 thousand extra undocumented immigrants doesn’t cause any issues with housing, healthcare etc 😂😂😂

@RoryHearneGaffs @FineGael @fiannafailparty Illegal arrivals, unvettable with no ID and all men are NOT contributing. Legal invited migrants are not the problem. You lump the two together to close down debate. If you want migrants choose people with skills, education, speak english, who will intergrate and assimilate.
