why are we still having this conversation, she knows and acknowledges her privileges being white, but she wants to show girls like her that they dont have to box themselves and that they can still achieve their dreams even when they're from a post-communist country like slovakia

It just makes me think about this tweet

She does not represent colour of her skin, but she represent her heritage and culture. She always makes sure to mention Slovakia! So proud of my girl! 🥰

So tired of people bitching around like "white people cant be oppressed or underrepresented" & then you see in news that everybody ignores war crimes happening in Ukraine. Or worse, they hate ukrainians for guts I'd so gladly switch it for what overly represented US citizerns ve

idk she just thinks Slovakia was way more oppressed than it really was. she's not like, idk, Bosnian or something. My family's from Hungary which was in a similar boat to Slovakia and while my Nagymama underwent a lot of hardship future generations didn't...

Girl she’s not some oppressed girl living on a fucking farm her parents have money and connections so this not the motivational speech yall think it is.

Post communism country and she’s rich asf she’s fine.

this just confirms everything us ‘americans’ wrre saying….no hardships, hella privilege, and she sees herself in every other white bitch.

yup

You can still acheive your dreams if you're WHITE* even when theyre from a post communist country*

if she gets it why is it so hard for her racist ass fans to? that’s why the conversation is still being had lol

Dude she did ballet in London and Vienna that girl wasn’t in the box she’s talking about she had all the tools to succeed

They wanna act purposefully dense. Like no fcking duh she's a white woman and will have it easier than POC. That doesn't discredit her feelings.

But as Americans we are trying to tell you that a white girl who’s very fluent in English who comes to America isn’t underrepresented just cuz she’s from Slovakia because that’s not how our country works. She should go make this point back home. All she’s doing is showing girls there that you gotta go chase the American dream specifically.

yes they can achieve their dreams if their parents have the money to send them too different countries to train and then move to LA to pursue music. and anybody can do this if they don’t box themselves in apparently! 😍

i agree with u 100% but "post communist" 😭😭 i dont think slovakia is post communist

girl you are from slovakia you consumed slovakian media of course they looked like you why the fuck are we bringing american views to other countries? ily adela but stop
