1000% no, marriage should be through the church as a sacrament to God under the condition of having children. We should not shame people if they choose not to get married also, as most people are miserable or end up divorced statistically.

Married previously, first marriage wife was very “Christian” and so was I. I saved myself for marriage I had thought she did as well. I joined the Army went to boot camp, finished AIT, then Deployed to Afghanistan, and next thing I know is I hear she’s out running around while I’m gone. My understanding is she slept with at least 7 dudes that I know of while I was gone. It destroyed my faith in her and in people I trusted. I also came to realize you can’t put girls in a pedestal they’re as screwed up and evil as guys are. Christian girls cheat too. The next girl I met was a little wild in her earlier years but she was able to get that out of her system before marrying me. Our relationship has been so much better it’s even funny and we’ve been together going on 14 years now.
