Three minutes well spent for anyone still repeating this old claim.

No promoter, no promised return, no early holders being paid out of new deposits. Nobody collects anything. The issuance schedule is public code, and anyone can check it by running their own node.

My favorite part: in a pyramid scheme someone at the top has to keep recruiting. Bitcoin just keeps issuing on schedule no matter who joins.

The strongest answer is that anyone can verify the rules themselves: fixed supply, no issuer, no promised returns. Pyramids depend on recruitment, while $BTC's value comes from a monetary property that gets stronger the more it is scrutinized.

Treasury accounting starts with the reserve, not the tweet count. BTC per share is the only metric that accrues.

Bitcoin pyramid schemes collapse. Bitcoin keeps growing because every new user makes the network more valuable for the ones before them — not because early holders dump on late ones. Sri Lanka ran on P2P Bitcoin during capital controls. No collapse. The opposite.
