Why Bitcoin is the fastest cryptocurrency

Bitcoin prioritizes security and decentralization over raw transaction speed. That's a trade-off many holders are happy with.

Fastest at the thing that actually matters: final settlement. A Bitcoin transfer is done in about an hour and nobody can reverse it, a card payment can still be charged back 120 days later and a cross-border wire sits in limbo for days.

Settlement finality every ~10 minutes beats "fast" chains that still settle to a committee. Bitcoin is slow at the tip and final where it counts.

If fastest means settlement certainty, sure. Still wild how many people score chains only on TPS and miss that.

fastest by what metric tho, settlement or something else

Lightning Network transactions settle in milliseconds. The narrative that Bitcoin is slow is already outdated — Layer 2 changes everything. ⚡ #Bitcoin #GlobalWhales

do you know kaspa:native ?

Small clarification: Bitcoin's base layer handles about 7–9 transactions per second, while chains like Solana regularly clear thousands. Bitcoin is built for settlement security, not raw throughput.

Fastest at the thing that counts: settlement nobody can reverse. Lightning for the coffee, a new block every ~10 minutes for finality. Speed is cheap, finality is priceless ⚡

It’s the fastest ??

Fastest narrative always wins the timeline. Speed is the product.

cheetah on caffeine, $BTC my bag agrees.

people confuse block time with settlement. banks take days and still call it instant
