We just had an emergency debate on the auto industry. I put forward 6 actions the prime minister could take right now to protect our jobs. 1) counter tariffs with remittance to Canadian manufacturers. 2) end the EV mandate. 3) explain what they’re doing with the strategic response fund. 4) cut HST on Canadian made autos 5) buy Canadian. 6) end the industrial carbon tax. I’m ready to go back for another 4 hours if they want to explain why they won’t do these things (many of which they promised). All we got so far was there signature “who cares!”

Incredible! The cost of home heating oil has almost doubled in the last few days and Mícheál Martin is still going ahead with Fianna Fáil Fine Gael’s Carbon Tax hikes. This will push prices up further. He needs to do his job and stop this blatant price gouging and scrap carbon tax hikes. We need real action to end the rip off and make life affordable.
