Because many (not all) of our people have serious problems with indiscipline and lack of self-coordination. I’m not proud to say I’ve noticed that even when they live abroad for years, that attitude often doesn’t change, they just control it because of shame, but at the slightest opportunity it manifests again. It was so frustrating one time we went to renew our passports somewhere in a Western country. We were given numbers in order of arrival, but before long the whole thing scattered: people became unruly, refused to wait their turns, tried to outsmart others and take their places, or use personal relationships with the coordinators to jump the queue. It was heartbreaking, because they would never behave that way if the same gathering were being coordinated by foreigners. A serious mind-shift and upstanding institutions is what it will take to get us there.

There are too many supporting infrastructure that has to already be in place. The car is just like your phone, it has to be plugged into other things to function properly

Even on our island and other big cities the road are not as perfect as the roads here.
