Idea for an activities based quiz show involving time limited motorway repairs. My way or the highway.

Seriously? Ignoring the obvious health & safety stuff, that approach to pothole repair doesn't fix the underlying problem at all. It does, however, create a never-ending source of work for pothole-fillers.

To do that now would probably be a closure so a team to setup a diversion then another squad to fix. Probably £10k and a days traffic pain. On the positive the fix would be more comprehensive with the hole dug out and fixed with hot mix asphalt so a more permanent job and they could fix others on the closed road. Cost for this repair - £20 for the bag of cold mix and £100 for the guy and his van for the hour What’s your preference

I'm irritated by potholes but I'm also glad that fewer people are dying on UK roads.

Good idea. Although, instead of paying someone to do it, people who are caught littering should be forced to do, while dressed in a tutu.

Back in the day people were forced to have some common sense in order to stay alive. Look at us now with our kids eating washing pods. 😂

Because some newbie gets squashed by a lorry and then the road gets shut down for a week.

When you next see the comment 'they don't build things like they used to', these are the people they are talking about.

Proof that mugs like you don’t actually grasp that all this accomplished was the pothole reopening in a week or so only bigger because that doesn’t fix the underlying cause and causes more wear to the surface.

Erm 🫤 because the roads are a lot busier for a start

I know exactly why! A worker was hit by a car and broke his arm and leg because he wasn’t paying attention! The council were sued and changed the law!

For those that scream about nationalising everything, this is how the council, water and electric board used to work.

I used to do this we called it Suicide patching will get the heart going. Safety peps put a stop to it. Now they use a truck with arrow board and two or more trucks with crash cushions & arrow boards
