Why Construction Takes So Long

This describes most of my days. I’ve got 99 problems and they’re all related to government overreach.

Can't believe y'all didn't drag the engineer in and blame him lol. Everyone always blames us.

The city guy is too real😫

As someone whose job it is to get permits…..the city guy part hits home so hard

Now do. “Why road construction projects take a decade”

O

Anyone who has dealt with the city/county knows that nothing gets until a palm gets greased. Unless it’s a “appraisal”. Then they are there yesterday

That's a direct result of a horrible Project Manager, would be fired mid construct. Seen this crap straightened out many, many times.

Accurate and funny 💪😂

Hubby was the project manager of this building, which just completed. Construction started May 2023. Can confirm.

And I'm the flooring installer who has to wait for all of you and then get all the sh*t off the customer caused by all because I'm the only one he sees.... and I have to clean ALL your sh*t up that you leave behind

As a plumber that’s worked new construction, I FELT this

except for the amish.

True story 😅

Lol bless your heart to those who have actually gone through this.

City Guy: “And that’ll be $10,000 for the permits”

As the painter on the end of everything…you have to work 10 plus hours a day and weekends to get the job finished…because the job is behind schedule

@garner_forest The prints are sitting on a desk in the Building Department waiting for an arm to move them. Should be ready in 2 weeks.

Boy I hate when my CONSTRUCITON is taking so long.

SKOL

@HandyGingerGal

😂😂😂 spot on

Every issues of construction starts right their at the permits.

Normal people will never know how accurate this is. The permitting process needs to be abolished completely.

This is an absolute myth dude regulation is the only reason most of us are alive and didn’t die in a coal mine or a steel mill when we were 9 years old

Sooooo true... lol...

Enough is enough

@Plurseidon

🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂. God that’s is sooo true on sooooo many levels!!!!

Your problem is the city worker is a Vikings fan…. No need someone who wants to be better..! 🧀🧀🧀😂

@aussieflya

Change your perspective. Move to Canada. You will marvel at the speed things are done in the US.
