Democrats are gambling the safety of the American people to slow deportations to try and preserve some of the political power they are in the process of losing. The deportations are taking population out of their states along with all the Americans who are leaving blue states and moving to red states. This isn’t them being so worried about people’s “rights”. Without counting illegal aliens in the census and using race-based redistricting, Democrats would have significantly less seats in Congress. After the 2030 census, where blue states are set to lose at least 12 electoral votes, it may become impossible for Democrats to win a House majority. That's why they're freaking out over the Supreme Court correctly interpreting the law.

Mid 2025 population estimates compared to the 2020 census show the biggest gains in Texas Florida North Carolina Georgia and Arizona. Meanwhile the largest domestic outmigration is from California New York Illinois New Jersey and yes right here in Massachusetts. House seats are apportioned by population. If trends hold for 2030 the slower growth states including Massachusetts could lose 7 House seats while the fastest growing gain 7. That flows to the Electoral College. Using mid 2025 estimates one side's path to the White House drops to just 263 electoral votes short of the 270 needed. This is not just about red states and blue states. It is about why families and businesses are leaving: cost of living taxes housing affordability energy prices regulations. Massachusetts is a beautiful state. But if we keep losing people, we must ask serious questions about competitiveness and affordability. Population is more than a statistic. It is representation influence and our future in Congress and the Electoral College. It is no wonder why the Democrats fight so hard to keep those who do not belong here.
