Helen didn't kill Agamemnon, Clitemnestra did

>Cyclops actually spoke english to Odysseus 🙄

“In the original poem the cyclops actually spoke English to Odysseus”…. Bro….English didn’t exist when it was written smh

First he didn't speak English but Ancient Greek. Second Helen of Troy didn't kill Agamemnon but his wife Clytemnestra did.

I mean, humor me here, isn’t the end of the film, literally cap off with Penelope and Odysseus talking about how everything’s going to be destroyed because the fall of this age? So then why did they leave their inexperienced son to take care of the throne while they go into exile for themselves?? he’s going to die man 😭

I think maybe because Odysseus has already taken out the real threat to his boy’s reign…. I guess

That could be it but like. They were talking about that the whole age was gonna collapse.

Hilarious how some of these people are so confident in their takes, but get so many things flat out wrong. This dude is getting basic details about the 2500 year old story wrong, he’s a dumbass

Brother that cyclops scene would have ruined the tone if it was the way u said , its genuinely medieval humour. Thats the type of line youd see in a kids movie bro

Helen of Troy didn't kill Agamemnon.

You lost me when you said the cyclops spoke English to Odysseus. You cannot be fucking for real

Yo dude, if you’re gonna critique get your facts correct. Helen of Troy did not kill Agamemnon in this movie or the original poem. It was his wife Clytemnestra who killed him as revenge for his sacrificial murder of his own daughter Iphigenia

The non body part would have been lame.

Yeah it wouldn’t fit Nolan’s tone

“Like in the original poem the Cyclops actually spoke English to Odysseus…” At the time the Trojan War took place, English wasn’t spoken even in what’s now England. Old English first existed 16-17 centuries after the war, and England about 21-22 centuries after it.

why on gods green earth did you pronounce “preparation” like that

spoke English to Odysseus

Nolan removed the ‘Nobody’ trick because even the Cyclops knew modern audiences would cancel Odysseus for that wordplay 😂

Dude, just shut the hell up with your ignorant racist ass. You can’t even direct a school play. Because you read Wikipedia and Charcot, you now think you’re an expert. And yes, I called you a racist because of the way you depicted Lupita. Not everything is content so shut it.

Stupid chud

Clytemnestra killed Agamemnon and not Helen. I fell for the bait. This video sucks

It would’ve been stupid to add it while talking to a puppet like it’s Barney. It’s all about creativity. If someone can make it better than Nolan Id like to see it seriously no insults.
"In the original Cyclops spoke English to Odysseus". Dude, please tell me you understand that the original wasn't in English.

“biggest unnecessary changes” … ‘Yeah so I actually like the fact the movie had these things happen instead of how the poem went because it just makes more sense’

Spoke English in ancient Greece?

Nolan didn’t change Agamemnon’s death at all. He got it right— this guy said it wrong. Agamemnon was killed by Helen of Troy’s sister Clytemnestra (who is portrayed as Helen’s twin in his version). So the unnecessary change is not the death but that Helen and her sister are twins

In the original poem The cyclops Spoke English ????

Everyone is a beyond credit these days. Everything that man did was practical no CGI and you’re complaining about a cyclops!!! I bet you would’ve did a better job yourself. I think we should start a GoFundMe so you can direct your vision!

Loool what? You want the monster to talk? Like some fucking disney movie? At least they made it somewhat realistic.

Why did Christopher Nolan change it? Because it's an adaptation. When adapting something people are allowed to reinterpret, and reshape the original, especially if they are trying to reframe something to thematically fit with their version of the story.

Did he speak English to Odysseus did he?

I still don't know what the person playing Helen of Troy is.

Yea just shut up and enjoy the movie bro

It's amazing the kind of confidence ignorance gives people. The guy confidently claims, "Helen of Troy killed Agamemnon because he sacrificed her daughter." Completely wrong. It was Clytemnestra, not Helen.

The cyclops does not speak English to Odysseus and it was Clytemnestra, not Helen, who kills Agamemnon

Bro is just nitpicking 🤣🤣

Can’t believe the cyclops spoke English in Ancient Greece that’s wild

Yeah there are no other cyclops on the island are there , wouldn’t have worked
