On that day 1700 people were in the Taj Hotel Mumbai. 1600 people escaped because of Hotel Staff. Total 31 killed in the Taj Hotel (including 1 commando)

This is the study he is quoting. Decades ago when I my first started as a manager, our HR (one of the best in the industry then) showed this to us.

Wow, great

I would always give preference in hiring developers from 2/3 cities or rural India than English educated from cities.

I am also 3/4 tier city. You can hire me :)

haha. maybe one day i will.

Jai Shri Ram

Nothing to do with HR! It’s about human values. In Mumbai across 1993 blasts, 2002–06 attacks, 2005 floods, 26/11 & every monsoon disruption, the aam junta steps up by donating blood, ferrying the injured, sheltering strangers. That instinct is how the city survives calamities.

On one hand we have inspiring stories like these on other hand we see big big votebanks based on reservations are considering everything as their right and upper caste's responsibility. We have modi, raga on one side and nationalists like @abdullah_0mar on other.👍

Kya bolna chahate ho bhai?

In 10 years—Modi ji or Raga—private sector reservations will keep small-town talent stuck forever. God forbid 50% jobs go non-merit: Harvard would find crushed nationalism, innovation & efficiency. Small-town nationalists cheer while their ladder gets sawn off. Wake up. #Merit1st

Bharat means Dharma. India means religion. Salutes to the employees who went by 'Atithi Devo Bhava'.

Crisis shows what hiring built. Taj staff embodied values screened from day one. Askruit assesses cultural fit early, not just skills. Right hires respond right under pressure.

I am speechless. I am astounded. Never thought what's coming my way. 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Hospitality in Indian hotel industry -way ahead of other countries.Go to UK,US ,one is treated like a burden. To be managed,not to be made comfortable.Athithi Devo Bhava runs deep.And yes @BelawadiBlr is right. Our cities are filled with selfish I,Me, Mine characters,not humans

DID YOU KNOW? While Harvard University studied Taj Hotel's HR management after 26/11 attack, Al-Falah University studied Kasab & Cos management after 26/11 attack.

Hindus never flee if given purpose. That is why we are desperately waiting for a leader who can give us purpose to have our own Rashtra. It has been 336 years, 10 months, & 10 days since the death of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. We need to fulfil his wish of a Hindu Rashtra.

Why give access to sensitive & personal information of employees? proper approvals were taken by the management? this not to demean any individual or org. just to point out if any indian research org. had asked for same data would they have been provided?

@archi_tandewal On a lighter note, Belawadi Sir IB / RAW / Intelligence ke itne roles kar chuke hain ki insights bhi unke waise hi ho gaye hain.

@grok is it true?

@grok Rana sir, from your Profile; you are the CEO and Editor In Chief and you still don't know about this story?

@grok नहीं मालूम था अब्दुल्ला साहेब तभी पूछा. जो नहीं पता उसको जानने में कोई गुनाह थोड़े है! अगर इतने भर से मेरे ऊपर कोई सवाल है तो दीगर बात है.

@grok I am really apologize for my comments.

I know him personally he’s a Genius with a capital G🫡there’s no topic on this planet that he doesn’t know about👌

Did Harvard study the failure of security, housekeeping, room service departments of the Taj hotel in identifying terrorists who checked in and stayed in Taj or more than 10 days with AK 47 and other lethal weapons? No. That would have been more relevant. This PR must stop now!

Any one brought up in the bhartiya family will do the same given a chance.. We dont leave guests in danger.. we will.protect our guests till last breadth..

How beautifully Explained about our culture and society This is what we are fighting through whole world 🌎 except some people around. We are actually dharma means Principles of life Life means Nature Health Wealth Dignity Awareness Peace around us.

Bharat and bharateeya

@Ajay_Bagga 26/11 Bharat will never forget 🙏

This is insightful. Yes I see it in everyday life. People who shift to big cities to work are very sincere

We literally had a HBS case on this topic in a course related to HR Management in my B School . Making it short : Hire tier 2 people in hospitality industry. They understand and live athithi devo bhava unlike tier 1 people

Yes, I have also observed that small-town bright kids are more aspirational and are high on value systems. Urban lads are more laid back, politically shrewd, have zero commitment, and are more self-centred. Yes they can manoeuvre things and communicate well.

Very well said sir, “In Bharat, Dharma means doing the right things, in India Dharma means religion” I will just add one more line, In Bollywood Dharma means production company based on the values of money, lust, nepotism and greed

@deepaktarai3 Beautiful! I will narrate it to my students..

Thanks for sharing 🙏🏻☺️

India has been a Land of Great Values for centuries

#MIBA

In India dharma means money, the rich don’t care about religion. Hindus and Muslims will sit on the same table where beef pork and wine is available in America only for the dollar income.

Wonderful Religion when used for political and economic purposes, it becomes a tool of exploitation but when practice in true sense it serves Humanity and sacrifice for others is then a holy task and duty

very profound

@knottycommander They brainwash you into putting your life in the way between the companies customer & the terrorist..? What nonsense isn't a value system. Sorry, this isn't something to be proud of.

Excellent thread…

Lmao so the point is people from small town India are stupid? They would willingly die for their capitalist overlords? M sorry but I would get the fuck outta there so quick - you’re a fucking hotel staff not an emergency responder. Not your job. Let’s not praise stupidity
